Artist: Oskar Schlemmer (1888-1943)
Oskar Schlemmer, a German artist linked to the Bauhaus school, excelled as a painter, sculptor, designer, and choreographer. In 1923, he assumed the role of Master of Form at the Bauhaus theatre workshop, following his stint at the sculpture workshop. Renowned for his masterpiece, the Triadic Ballet (Triadisches Ballett), Schlemmer orchestrated a captivating spectacle where costumed performers metamorphosed into geometric embodiments of the human form, creating what he termed a "celebration of form and colour."
