Renowned as the "Raphael of flowers," Redouté stands as the quintessential botanical illustrator of all ages.

His illustrious career was marked by his service as an official court artist to Marie Antoinette, a role he maintained even amidst the tumultuous times of the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.
