Charles-François Daubigny, a key figure in the Barbizon school, paved the way for Impressionism.

Daubigny's travels led him to meet Monet in London and Cézanne in Auvers. His notable works include "Springtime" (1857) in the Louvre. He earned the Legion of Honor.
